"Combat Loneliness and Break Boundaries" Instagram Live Concert

The pandemic situation has brought so many tragedy and changes. Meanwhile, it has also given Jialiang much more time to reflect upon herself and to connect with family and friends. Tonight, she is so thrilled and honoured to be part of the Emerging Young Artists (EYA)'s arts initiative to bring people consolation and hope during the lockdown. Jialiang and EYA invite the audience on a journey to explore the themes of peace and turmoil, blending classical works by Bach, Beethoven, and Prokofiev, new compositions by David Jaeger, as well as improvisations on poetry by Kathryn Knowle.

The Bedford Trio is thrilled to return to the Thursday Noon Recital Series at University of Toronto. They are very honoured to continue the Irene R. Miller Piano Trio Residency for the second year. This time, they will bring two works that were written when the composers were very young—Debussy was 18, and Rachmaninoff was 19, at an age when he wasn't even sure if he should continue on the composer's path! Come hear these young composers' refreshing voices in which one can already detect their personal musical traits in their mature styles.
